Q2 2024 Insights: Top Android Dining and Restaurants Apps in the US

The second quarter of 2024 has shown interesting trends in the dining and restaurants app category on the Android platform. Data from Sensor Tower provides us with a snapshot of how top apps have fared in terms of downloads and user engagement.

McDonald's saw a slight fluctuation in downloads, starting at approximately 8.5K in the first week of April and peaking at nearly 9.6K towards the end of May. Weekly active users showed more stability, maintaining a figure around 110K to 120K throughout the quarter.

Domino's Pizza Ukraine experienced a gradual decline in downloads, from around 364 in the second week of April to 151 by the end of June. Weekly active users also decreased, starting at approximately 1.7K and dipping to just under 1.2K in the same period.

For KFC Qatar - Order food online, downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 228 in the second week of April to 130 by the last week of June. The app's weekly active users saw a small drop, hovering around 400 at the start of April and falling to just under 300 by the quarter's end.

TheFork - Restaurant bookings showed a varied download pattern, with a significant spike to 209 in mid-May from a modest 55 in early April. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a notable increase to 327 in the same period, before settling down to around 217 by late June.

Lastly, KFC UAE (United Arab Emirates) presented a more positive trend in downloads, with a peak of 116 in mid-June, up from 61 at the beginning of April. The app's weekly active users saw growth early in the quarter, reaching 177 in late April, but eventually stabilizing around 150 to 190 users.
